Mr. Riyaz Papar is a registered Professional Engineer (ME), a Certified Energy Manager and a Fellow of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and ASHRAE (American Society of Heating Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers). During his career which spans almost three decades, Mr. Papar has attained distinction and made substantial contributions in the fields of Industrial Energy Efficiency and Thermal Systems Optimization including steam, chilled water, refrigeration, cogeneration and waste heat recovery. Using a systems approach methodology in thermal systems, he has successfully completed more than 150 energy assessments both in the US and internationally (South Africa, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, China, India, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Myanmar and Mauritius). A significant portion of these energy assessments have resulted in implemented projects that have to date continued to save millions of dollars, valuable energy resources and reduced greenhouse gas emissions world-wide. Mr. Papar’s industry education outreach, capacity building and technology transfer efforts has impacted more than 10,000 industry personnel world-wide.

Currently, Mr. Papar is Principal Consultant and Founder of C2A Sustainable Solutions. He also holds a part-time position as Lead Engineer at Hudson Technologies Company. Mr. Papar has also worked at Enron Energy Services, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Energy Concepts Company, all in the US. He holds a M.S. degree (ME) from the University of Maryland (College Park) and a B.Tech. degree (ME) from the Indian Institute of Technology (Mumbai).
